Mindfulness
What does
mindfulness mean?
Mindfulness is the awareness of everything that arises within and around us, including unpleasant feelings and thoughts. Freeing ourselves from internal judgments, observing the mind, and recognizing that thoughts are not truths can help us overcome blocks, reduce stress, and better manage fears and pain. However, this requires practice.
Through mindfulness training, we learn to approach all our experiences—sensations, thoughts, emotions, actions, and the situations we find ourselves in—with curiosity and acceptance. This perspective can provide us with the freedom to respond with greater clarity and wisdom, rather than acting out of habitual patterns.
It opens up the possibility of dealing with life's challenges more wisely and compassionately, enabling us to make conscious choices.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
There are numerous courses and programs available to integrate mindfulness into daily life. MBSR has established itself as the foundational and most well-researched mindfulness training. Numerous studies confirm the health-promoting, stress-reducing, and quality-of-life-enhancing effects of MBSR.
MBSR stands for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and is a scientifically-based program developed in the 1970s by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. Since then, it has been offered worldwide with great success to reduce stress and promote well-being.
The course consists of weekly sessions over an eight-week period and includes daily practice to be carried out at home. The training combines meditative exercises in stillness and movement, group discussions on specific topics, and the understanding of modern approaches from psychology and stress research.
Sign up for the course using the contact form and experience a new perspective on yourself, your relationships, and your life, while increasing your overall well-being.
